Description
Flat, white flowers. Finely cut leaves resembling those of the carrot. A biennial plant growing approx 30 inches.
How to Grow
Plant in the fall/autumn, they will bear seed the following year. Not easily transplanted. Thin plants to 8 to 12 inches apart in rows 3 feet apart. Protect roots with mulch in winter.
When to Pick
Pick approx a month after flowering. Cut leaves for drying before flowers open. Seeds will be grayish-brown in color.
Use
Used these aromatic seeds in cooking. Hungarian-type dishes, coleslaw, cheese spreads, meat stews, and fish casseroles.
