Light green fairly broad leaves. Small white flowers. Many species, one with purple leaves
Grow from seed only after any danger of frost. Pinch stems to promote compact, bushy growth. Avoid bushy grow-reduces the flavour
Pick approx 6 weeks after planting. Cut leaves for drying before flowers open.
Used in cooking especially tomato dishes.
