Descrition:
A half-hardy plant. Annual phlox is a (sometimes) weedy, low-growing (to 15" tall), patch-forming herb with showy, five-lobed tubular flowers that can be white, red, magenta, lavender, or pink and usually have a lighter-colored "eye" in the center.
Light:
Annual phlox needs full sun to be at its best.
Growth:
Grows 18-20".
Uses:
Phlox is usually planted in masses in borders and beds.
Tips:
Plant in drained soil. This low-growing annual masses beautifully and is always an attractive element in annual beds and low borders or edges along walkways.

A hardy plant, does well in rich soil. Larkspur dries nicely, holding its color.
Light:
Grows in full sun.
Growth:
Grows 30-48".
Uses:
It's great in the garden as a backdrop for smaller plants.
Tips:
It is recommend that you stake or cage plants to provide support.

Descrition:
A half-hardy plant, does well in drained soil. This plant has excellent foliage and lovely blossoms.
Light:
Grows in full sun, tolerates part sun.
Growth:
Grows 20-24".
Uses:
It's great in the garden - on in a container.
Tips:
The 'Marine' variety has fragrant purple blossoms.

Descrition:
Velvety flowers on tall spike are available in a wide range of colors. Remove faded flower spikes to promote reblooming.
Light:
Grows in full to partial sun.
Growth:
An upright plant. Grows 12-36".
Uses:
Beautiful in background of bed or border. An excellent cut flower.
Tips:
If mulched, will survive the winter where winters are mild.

Wonderful color all summer until first frost. Available in a very wide variety of flower and foliage colors.

Grows best in partial to full shade.
Growth:
Upright plant. Grows 10-18" depending on variety.
Uses:
Excellent color display. Large showy flowers, good in hanging baskest or beds.
Tips:
Grows best in rich, moist soil. Several new varieties that are highly recommended include the Dazzler series and the Rosebud series.

Descrition:
A showy member of the Dasiy family. Gazania is a tender perennial grown as an annual, and can be used as edging, bedding and ground cover, as well as in containers.
Light:
Grows in partial to full sun.
Growth:
Upright plant. Grows similar to Dasiy.
Uses:
Great all purpose upright flower.
Tips:
The flowers close up at night and on cloudy days. For best results grow in summer conditions.
