These unusual globe-shaped flowers will add a dramatic flair to any garden. Alliums are in the onion family. There are many different varieties that bloom May through June. And since they are Spring bulbs, they must be planted in the Fall/Autumn.

Natives of Southern Europe and Asia
Crocuses often burst into bloom while snow is still on the ground. These hardy flowers will begin to grow with a warm spell in late winter or early spring taking just a few days growth to blossom into the first bright colors of the year.

Daffodils

A member of the Narcissus family, Daffodils originated in the woods of Europe.
Daffodils are easy to grow. Simply pop a few into your flower bed in the fall and they awaken bright and early in the spring!
Fact: Rodents usually avoid Daffodils.

Hyacinth

Originated in Turkey, not the Netherlands as one might think.

The Hyacinth is a member of the Lilly family. They are a fragrant spring flowering bulb whose colors include purple, blue, white, pink, and yellow.
